Before joining Stone Group Lawyers, Zach served as an Advocate (Barrister) at the Cape Bar in South Africa. He acted for a diverse clientele, including leading financial institutions, corporate entities, and government bodies. His extensive experience encompasses high-stakes cases involving cross-border debt recovery, shareholder disputes, and the winding-up of companies.

Zach has been involved in significant matters such as the Steinhoff saga—South Africa’s largest corporate scandal—where he represented an offshore fund in a €993 million ($1.6 billion) claim. He also acted for a Belgian military contractor in an $80 million claim against the Republic of Guinea and its Central Bank, and obtained a $10.5 million judgment for a client against the Vice President of Equatorial Guinea for wrongful imprisonment and torture.
